The Privacy and Personal Information Act 1998 regulates the way in which personal information is handled by private sector organisations such as Harris & Company. The definition of “personal information” is construed widely in that Act and covers any information that may be used to identify a person.

Harris and Company respects the privacy of individuals and has systems in place to protect personal information from misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. Harris and Company is a firm which provides legal services. As such, most of the personal information we obtain is collected directly from clients for the purpose of providing legal services to those clients. We may also collect personal information about potential clients by referrals from other clients and third parties. Personal information relating to clients and potential clients is only ever used for the purpose of providing services in connection with our practice. The personal information of clients and potential clients is not used for the purposes of advertising or mail-outs. Personal information is only used internally and is not forwarded on to third parties without the express consent of the client or potential client or as required by law.

This Website uses session specific cookies which are destroyed upon you closing your browser. The cookies are used to facilitate the search section of the Website and are not used to obtain or store any information about you.
